This is the hilarious moment a horse took a carriage on a detour through a pond in China.

The horse had been pulling the coach across the lush grasslands of Chifeng City in inner Mongolia, when it suddenly veered toward the body of water on August 4.

Despite the driver's lashings, the horse continued trudging across the water, sparking panic among the passengers afraid to be drenched.

The filmer said that although the driver was visibly anxious, he avoided whipping the horse too hard and instead gently reassured the beast and the passengers.

He said: 'Despite the old man's order to turn round, the horse persisted in its course towards the water.

'Fortunately, the horse managed to pull the tourists back onto dry land, turning a potentially alarming situation into a memorable and somewhat humorous adventure for all involved.'
