A rescue kitten has been found that's all ears - or at least has four of them.

The unusual cat was taken in by True Rescue animal shelter in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Staff say the nine-week-old - who they've nicknamed Audio - is otherwise healthy.

True Rescue said: "This kitten came into our shelter today with his three other siblings, and he has a rare genetic mutation having been born with four ears."

"The last kitten we were able to find research about that had four ears came from Turkey and was from two years ago."

"We will have him fully checked by a vet, but from what we know, the inner ear is completely normal and will cause no issues, other than having extra flaps to clean."

"We have named him Audio, and he is 8-9 weeks old, weighing just over 2 pounds."

"This baby is simply ear-resistible."
