This is the adorable moment a father uses a fishing rod to play with his daughter from a distance in China.

Footage shows the baby lying on the living room mat, while the father sits on a small stool in the distance in Hedong, Linyi, Shandong on July 20.

The dad ties toys to the fishing line and uses the rod to 'fish' for his daughter to play with.

His wife, Ms Zhu, said: 'My husband's only hobby is fishing, but he has never gone out to fish since I became pregnant. After giving birth, being a full-time mother and taking care of the child is very difficult.'
