Baris Doster, an academic with the Istanbul-based Marmara University, told Xinhua that Türkiye's enhanced ties with these platforms are expected to positively impact the country's trade and strategic development.

"Such engagement will positively impact both bilateral and multilateral trade and encourage the use of national currencies. This, in turn, will reduce the influence of the U.S. dollar, and reduce the political and diplomatic dominance of the U.S.
Given Türkiye's strategic location as the central corridor between the East and the West, its proximity to the Caucasus, and its ambitions to expand into Central Asia through the Caucasus, and when considering the interest of some local countries, it is observed that if this central corridor integrates and aligns with the Belt and Road Initiative, everyone will benefit from this alignment."
