Great Textile Factory Fire in Indonesia, 1 person died and 3 people were injured, workers panicked hysterically.

A major fire occurred at the textile factory of the PT Libolon company located in Kembang Kuning Village, Jatilihur District, Purwakarta Regency, West Java, Indonesia on Tuesday 13 August 2024 afternoon.

This incident caused all employees to panic and become hysterical. As a result of the fire, one worker died and three others were injured.

Head of the Purwakarta Regency Fire and Rescue Service, Juddy Herdiana, said the incident occurred this afternoon.

"The fire occurred in one of the factory buildings where textile production uses coating machines," said Juddy.

Before the big fire broke out, he said that local residents heard the sound of an explosion.


"We deployed two firefighting units to extinguish the fire. The fire could only be controlled after extinguishing it for an hour and a half. Currently it is still cooling down," he said.

Meanwhile, Jatiluhur Police Chief, Police Commissioner Abdul Kadir, said that his party was still investigating the fire. This incident caused one worker to die and three others to be injured.


"From information from residents who heard the explosion, it is suspected that it was from a coater machine. But we are still investigating the cause of the fire," said Abdul Kadir.

Regarding the identity of the dead victim, he stated that the victim was a machine operator named Sigit Hartono (52 years old).


"The victim died at the scene, while three injured people were rushed to Bayu Asih Regional Hospital for medical treatment," he said.
