District 1 deputies urgently sought assistance in locating a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's, who had wandered away from her home on foot.

Utilizing state-of-the-art infrared cameras, the aviation team swiftly pinpointed her whereabouts within a dense wooded area east of her residence. Their precise guidance enabled ground units to navigate directly to her location, where they discovered her unharmed in a swampy terrain.

Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed profound relief and gratitude, emphasizing, "I am beyond thankful and relieved we were able to locate and rescue this missing woman quickly."
