USA: Riverside Brush Fire in Construction Area

08/13/2024 12:00 pm (GMT-0700) | RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Location: 1300 block of Alessandro Boulevard.
On August 13, 2024, at approximately 12:01p.m., Riverside City Fire Department was dispatched to the 1300 block of Alessandro Boulevard in reference to a 1/2-acre brush fire.
The fire was accidently started by a work crew welding on the construction site. As the work crew was welding, the sparks ignited the brush in a local field next to the construction site.
Riverside City Fire responded to the area and began firefighting efforts with assistance from the construction crew on site using their water truck to help put the fire out.
The fire was eventually extinguished with no structures damaged or anyone on scene hurt.
