A woman in eastern China spent nearly £1,000 transforming her home into a cat’s paradise after experiencing a strained relationship with her feline friend following its neutering procedure.

The impressive video was filmed in Shanghai on August 14.

The drastic home renovation has sparked widespread attention and debate on social media.

According to reports, the woman noticed a significant change in her cat's behaviour after it underwent a neutering operation. The once-cuddly companion seemed to harbour resentment, leading to increased tension between the pair. Determined to mend their relationship, the woman decided to revamp her living space to better suit her pet's needs.

Embracing the concept of "catification," she embarked on an ambitious project to redesign her home with the cat’s preferences in mind. The makeover included installing cat trees, tunnels, and cosy hideaways, as well as rearranging the furniture to create a more stimulating and comfortable environment.

The entire renovation reportedly cost close to £1,000.

Post-renovation, the once-ordinary apartment has been transformed into a feline wonderland, where the cat can climb, play, and relax to its heart’s content. The woman has since reported a noticeable improvement in their relationship, with the cat becoming more affectionate and relaxed.

The story quickly went viral on social media, with netizens sharing their thoughts on the extravagant gesture. While some expressed envy over the cat’s luxurious lifestyle, others joked about their own pets potentially demanding similar home makeovers.

Many praised the woman’s commitment to her pet, viewing it as a testament to the deep bond between humans and their furry companions in modern society.
