This was the terrifying moment pilots battled to land in strong crosswinds at Birmingham Airport.
The skilled crews struggled to land as strong winds battered Birmingham’s BHX Airport on Thursday 15 August.
Several aircraft powered by small jet engines or propellers got the brunt of the turbulence.
One propeller craft, a flight from Belfast to Birmingham was thrown around like a toy, occasionally dipping towards the runway.
Another airline, A jet powered Jet2 plane from Alicante was also violently rocked as it approached the runway.
Strong winds have hit the Midlands in England and other areas of the country.
