USA: Lake Elsinore Historic Building Possibly Damaged by Earthquake

08/15/2024 09:39 am (GMT-0700) | LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – At 9:39 a.m., a 3.9 earthquake struck the city of Lake Elsinore. A historic building located at 164 S Main Street potentially suffered damage from the earthquake. The building has sustained significant previous damage and large pieces of stucco are missing. The new area of concern is seen on video in this report. City building officials stated they believe this is damage from the earthquake this morning, but are awaiting further investigation before confirming. The building is the former home of the Ambassador Hotel in which residents of Lake Elsinore are in the process of petitioning for it's restoration.
