2. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Norton, investigative journalist and analyst; founder and editor, Geopolitical Economy Report (partially overlaid with shots 3-6):
"Argument given by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency is that they need to allow some of the U.S. athletes to use these prohibited drugs in order to serve as informants to essentially spy on other athletes accused of doing the same. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency is not a police force. This is an agency that is supposed to make sure that its athletes do not violate rules on the use of prohibited drugs. The USADA does not have the authority in international sporting events to say well our athletes are allowed to cheat because we want to spy on other athletes we think may be cheating. That's not how these rules work. The U.S. does not make the rules for other countries and for international sporting events.";

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Norton, investigative journalist and analyst; founder and editor, Geopolitical Economy Report (ending with shot 9):
"So, it's no surprise to see that the Western media acts in this biased manner. But when it comes to an issue like this, we can also see the hypocrisy because these accusations made by the World Anti-Doping Agency that the U.S. has allowed some of its athletes to use drugs for over a decade now. Clearly, these are very important revelations, and yet they got almost no coverage in the Western media. And at the same time, the Western media has done a lot of coverage of U.S. accusations claiming that China and Russia supposedly have allowed their athletes to use prohibited substances. So, there's clearly a double standard.";
