STORYLINE:
Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed on Saturday a signing ceremony of two agreements for the project to establish a 200-megawatt wind power generation station in the Gulf of Suez region, between the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, the New and Renewable Energy Authority, and the Masdar-Infinity consortium.
The signing ceremony comes within the framework of Egypt's strategy to maximize the role of new and renewable energies in the energy mix, support and rely on the private sector in establishing solar and wind power generation stations.
The project is expected to start commercial operation in October 2026.
