STORYLINE:

The third batch of the Chinese medical team to the Solomon Islands recently provided free medical services for locals in Auki, the capital of Malaita Province.

Malaita is the largest province in the Solomon Islands. It faces transportation challenges and lacks medical resources, making it difficult for locals to access treatment.

Over five days, the team set up five consulting rooms for acupuncture, moxibustion, cardiology, nephrology, urology, and infection. They worked with local hospital staff to provide over 400 medical consultations and distributed free medications.

The acupuncture treatments, in particular, were very popular among locals.
