STORYLINE:
New York University (NYU)'s men's and women's basketball teams faced Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in a doubleheader on Friday during the 2024 Buick Campus Invitational in Shanghai.
In the men's game, SJTU secured a convincing 73-56 victory over NYU. On the women's side, the hosts narrowly defeated their American counterparts with a 69-64 win.
NYU's Zay Freeney, wearing jersey No. 23, led his team with 23 points. He expressed his enthusiasm about the experience despite the outcomes.

Freeney and his teammates arrived in Shanghai on August 11.
During the week-long cultural exchange, they visited Shanghai landmarks and participated in various cultural activities.
