Man's large steel plate falls Into elevator shaft in China
A man's large steel plate fell into an elevator shaft in central China.
CCTV footage filmed in Zhengzhou City in Henan Province on August 13, shows a steel plate slipping from a man's grasp and falling into the narrow gap between the elevator doors and the shaft.
The man was seen manoeuvring the cumbersome steel plate out of the elevator when, due to a shift in balance or a lapse in judgment, the plate unexpectedly slid out of control. It plummeted into the perilous crevice, leaving the man in a state of panic.
Immediately after the accident, the distressed worker contacted property management for urgent assistance. Fortunately, the situation was quickly resolved.
According to the property management staff, the steel plate ended up in the elevator pit but did not cause any damage to the elevator system. Elevator maintenance personnel were promptly dispatched to retrieve the steel plate, ensuring that the elevator remained fully operational without disruption.
