Video footage captures hailstones pounding against the windshield and grasslands blanketed in white after an off-season hailstorm swept through southern Gansu, China, on August 5.
The storm caused significant disruption as some vehicles were forced to stop by the roadside due to the snow-covered highway, as they were unprepared for the unusual weather without snow tyres.
A layer of white snow covered the grasslands, creating a winter-like scene.
