Crumbling old bridge collapses in China
This is the moment a crumbling old bridge collapsed in China.
The Sansui County Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau investigated the condition of bridges and roads in the area and discovered that the bridge, built in the 1960s, had significant cracks in Sansui, Guizhou, on August 8.
Footage shows the pathway eroded in half and eventually disintegrated.
Officials closed both ends of the bridge and set up warning signs to prevent pedestrians and vehicles from passing by.
Demolition and reconstruction work has now begun to restore traffic flow as quickly as possible.
