Thai model 'refuses to pay rent and leaves room looking like a pigsty'
A Thai model allegedly refused to pay her rent and left her room looking like a pigsty with heaps of trash lying everywhere.
The woman, who works as a promoter for a bar in Bangkok, lived in the condominium unit for a year before neighbours' complaints reached the landlord.
When owner Payungsak, 43, inspected it on June 19, he said he found it in a terrible state. Trash was covering the floor, and toilet water was leaking into the corridors outside.
Footage shows the one-bedroom unit filled with dirty clothes lying around. The floorboards had been water-damaged, and Payungsak said the smell was awful as it had been leaking from the toilet.
Food scraps, trash, and assorted branded bags and clothes littered the floor.
He said: ‘The female tenant rented my place through a housekeeper and paid me online. I only found out about the state of the unit when the neighbours complained of leaks and smell. It was awful. It looked like a pigsty.'
Payungsak said he contacted the model to pay, but she refused.
He said: ‘She refused to meet with me, and five days after I found out about the unity, she sneaked into the room to collect her things and ignored me.'
In July, Payungsak assessed the damage at 120,000 baht (2,657.24 GBP), but the model allegedly only offered to pay 15,000 baht (332.16 GBP) due to financial problems.
He said: ‘But that contradicted her lifestyle. She displayed expensive branded items on social media. She presented herself as a princess but lived like a pig.'
The distressed landlord said he had to shoulder all repair expenses.
He added: 'I have only seen this thing happen in the news. I never expected it would happen to me.'
