STORYLINE:
Ten people were killed and three displaced Syrians injured early Saturday in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in southern Lebanon, according to officials and military sources in Lebanon.
Hamas, the Islamic Palestinian group, launched "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" on Oct. 7, 2023. This was followed the next day by a support front for Gaza by Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite resistance group. Hezbollah and the IDF have continued frequent cross-border exchanges of fire.
According to many statements by its media department, Hezbollah has launched numerous guided missile attacks on Israeli military posts along the Israel-Lebanon border. Hezbollah also said that two of its militants were martyred by Israeli shelling while driving in the border town of Al Abbasieh.
