The Moon, just one day after full moon supermoon "blue moon" , was passing in front of planet Saturn early morning 21st august, 2024 as seen here from Vétroz in Valais canton in Switzerland.

The occultation lasted a full hour.

at 05:30 local time CEST Saturn was disappearing behind the Moon.

1 hour later the ringed planet re-emerged on the other side.

filmed with strong telelens and teleconverter and edited with crop zoom.

Saturn has lots of lunar occultations in 2024 , it happened already 4 times including this one, and the next lunar occultations of Saturn will be on September 17, october 14, november 11 and december 8.
