USA: Temple City Pursuit Suspects Crash into Church

08/20/2024 03:00 am (GMT-0700) | TEMPLE CITY, Calif. – Monrovia police officers attempted a traffic stop on a black vehicle in their city for unknown reasons at this time. The vehicle did not stop and led Monrovia PD in a pursuit, running red lights and stop signs.
The suspect vehicle crashed into a church building at South Baldwin Avenue and Woodruff Avenue in the city of Temple City.
Monrovia PD was able to take two suspects into custody. LASD airship and LASD Temple sheriff's deputies were on the scene along with Arcadia PD assisting in looking for one or two outstanding suspects. One suspect was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The church at 6019 S. Baldwin Avenue had damage to one of its side walls, but it is unknown if the inside of the church sustained any damage.
