A wrecked car's trunk scared a garage owner as he was seen moving in a yard without a driver.

Footage shows the broken-down vehicle's rear portion shifting up and down at Boy and Fon Slide-On Rayong in Thailand on August 17.

The area is where a local police station keeps impounded vehicles, and the black sedan was brought there after figuring in an accident.

The garage owner, Weerapong Sujarit, said: ‘I was parking more vehicles in the lot when I noticed something weird.

‘The car trunk was opening and closing by itself. I was so scared I didn't know what to do, so I took a video.'

He left the area to tell his friends, and when they returned to inspect, the car turned out its battery was still intact and functioning despite being damaged from a crash.
