Video captured the moment a Subway worker picked up and launched a footlong cookie at customers.

Lemont Baggling, 47, was out with his daughters, Shahni and Jalese, both 21, when they decided to grab something to eat at the Subway branch on August 18, 2024.

He ordered a footlong cookie for his daughters but says he realised they didn't have enough money on them to pay for it.

Instead, he says he asked for three normal cookies and two sodas.

Lemont claims the staff member asked who was going to pay for the footlong cookie and if he had a problem.

He claims the Subway employee told him someone needed to pay for the cookie.

To diffuse the situation, Lemont says the group decided to leave - with their two drinks and three cookies.

As Lemont and his daughters tried to walk out, the staff member is seen in the footage picking up the cookie and throwing it in their direction.

Lemont then scooped it up off the floor and launched it back at the staff member before leaving the store.

Lemont, an engineer, from New York City, New York, US, said: "He needs to be fired and I need an apology."

"Things could have gone way worse - especially when I am trying to protect by children."

"He had an attitude from the minute we walked in."

"He had a look on his face like 'what do you guts want?' - he seemed snotty."

"I was trying to get in and out but he made it way worse."

Lemont and his daughters were out celebrating Shahni's birthday on August 18, 2024.

Lemont said: "As soon as we walked in, my daughter wanted a footlong cookie and we ordered one but we didn't have enough money on us."

"We put the cookie to the side and ordered three regular cookies."

"I went to grab two sodas too."

After deciding they didn't want the footlong cookie, Lemont claims the Subway worker "got annoyed" at them and asked how they would pay for it."

He said: "He asked 'who is going to buy the cookie?'. He said 'what am I going to do with this?'. "

"He asked me if I had a problem and I said no - he said someone had to buy the cookie."

Lemont and his daughters walked away from the counter - to leave the store - when they say the cookie was thrown at them from the counter.

Lemont said: "I went back like 'what the hell?' and I returned fire."

"I lit up from there, it took a lot of holding back."

Subway did not comment.
