This is the dramatic moment a lorry's double wheel detaches, flies through the air, destroys one car, and nearly hits another in China.

CCTV footage first shows the wheel rolling down the road and colliding with a concrete bollard in Yunfu, Guangdong, on August 11.

After striking the bollard, the wheel shoots almost vertically into the air, bounces up the street several times, and heads toward another car that had stopped in the opposite lane.

In the next video clip, a driver puts their vehicle into motion just in time to avoid being hit.

But the owner of a car parked on the street behind them is not so lucky and has the roof and windows smashed by the massive double tyre.

It was not reported who would pay for the car's damage or whether the lorry driver was identified.
