The World Women's Forum themed "Towards a Green Future" kicked off in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator on Thursday, focusing on women's empowerment, gender equality, climate change, and the effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the auspices of Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, the forum was co-organized by Mongolia's presidential office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the United Nations.
Hundreds of Mongolian female leaders from fields such as business, sports, and arts, leaders and representatives from countries and international organizations attended the forum, according to the organizers.
During the two-day event, attendees are expected to hear presentations and engage in discussions on topics including the role of women leaders in environmental initiatives, shaping sustainable food systems, the impact of women entrepreneurs in the e-economy, gender equality in the economy, the influence of education on empowering women and girls, and gender equality in sports, arts, and culture.
