In a horrific incident in Kalyandurg town, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, a man’s carelessness nearly caused a disaster, setting several shops ablaze. The incident occurred when a man, smoking a beedi, carelessly tossed a matchstick into a pool of leaked petrol on the street.
CCTV footage installed at nearby shop captured the exact moment the fire ignited. The clip shows two men standing on a platform near a row of shops, with two parked two-wheelers nearby. One of the men, while smoking, flicks his matchstick into the pool of petrol. Within seconds, the fuel ignites, forcing the men to flee for their lives.
According to local reports the chain of events began when a man purchased five liters of petrol in a container, unaware of a leak. “A potential disaster unfolded in Kalyanadurgam town, Anantapur district. A man purchased five liters of petrol from a station near the old bus stand. While riding his two-wheeler, the petrol can burst, spilling fuel onto the road. Unaware of the danger, another individual lit a beedi and carelessly discarded the matchstick into the pool of petrol

The incident happened on 21st August
