"Attention please, passengers who are taking the 8:30 bus to Vietnam's Hanoi, Bac Giang, and Bac Ninh, please take your carry-on belongings and your identity document, and go to the gate A2. Please scan your ID card to check in and get on the bus. Thank you for your cooperation."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): DUAN JIAJIA, Passenger from China's Hong Kong
"After boarding the bus, I found it clean and comfortable. If not in a hurry, taking a bus would be a good choice for me, as it has a relatively cheaper price and a convenient shuttle service. If I take a plane, it will take over an hour to the airport."

The entire journey of the cross-border bus service linking China and Vietnam takes 7 hours.

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): ZHONG ZHIGANG, Vice president of Guangxi Yunde Autotransport Group Limited Company
"Initially, there was only one Vietnam-bound bus departing from Langdong Coach Station every day. With the increase in the exchanges between the peoples of China and Vietnam, we have increased the number of bus routes to eight. We also opened shuttle service stations at hotels, airports, and railway stations."

From January to July this year, 927 buses departed from Nanning to Hanoi, with a passenger volume of 16,500 people.

SOUNDBITE 4 (Chinese): ZHONG ZHIGANG, Vice president of Guangxi Yunde Autotransport Group Limited Company
"In the future, our company is planning to increase the capacity, with the resumption and opening of direct bus routes (from China to Vietnam), facilitating the people exchanges between the two countries for business, study, tourism, and work."
