The disturbing video shows a bus driver being attacked by a thief with a butcher knife before brave passengers chase him away.

Surveillance camera footage captured in Villa Diamante, Buenos Aires, Argentina, shows the driver opening the entrance door as the thief walked in and immediately attacked him at around 5:58 pm on August 12.

The driver attempted to defend himself by grabbing the knife, but the thief broke free. Moments later, he leaned against the window and began kicking the man to drive him away.

The thief finally left the vehicle after a group of passengers, led by a brave woman who hit him with her purse, intervened.

Local media reported that the driver suffered a wound on the thumb of the right hand as a result of the confrontation.

The case was reported to the police. They said an investigation is ongoing.
