Resident calls pet cats to catch mouse with hilarious consequences
This is the moment a resident called his pet cats to catch a mouse with hilarious consequences.
The owner spotted the rat hiding behind the curtain and decided to find his two cats, Nuga, the silver tabby, and Taiji, the Persian Tuxedo, to deal with the pest in his home in Fujian, China, on April 8.
Footage shows the frantic homeowner searching for Nuga, who was wandering outside late at night.
When the felines entered the house, he immediately commanded them to catch the rodent, but the cats avoided the animal and ignored him, causing him to yell at them.
The pet owner then grabbed a broom to assist the reluctant animals and successfully cornered the intruder.
The furry creatures can be seen sniffing the pest before moving along. The dismayed pet owner scolded them and used a plastic bin to trap the scavenger.
There are instances where cats might not catch a mouse even if they see one. This can happen if they have not been exposed to hunting or did not learn it from their mother. Additionally, cats may be uninterested in hunting if they are well-fed and not hungry.
