A potentially dangerous situation was averted in central India's Madhya Pradesh, when a poisonous snake was discovered inside the air conditioner of a home.

The incident took place in Rewa city on August 22.

Visuals showed how a specialized AC repair mechanic was brought in to carefully dismantle the unit, allowing the rescue team to safely capture the snake.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the Dhekha area, where Yogesh Verma and his family were alarmed to find the snake in their bedroom's AC unit. Terrified by the unexpected visitor, the family immediately contacted the authorities.

The forest department team, led by District Forest Officer (DFO) Anupam Sharma, quickly responded to the call. The snake was then released into the Govindgarh forest, far from residential areas.

DFO Anupam Sharma advised the public that encountering a snake in such a confined space can be extremely dangerous. He stressed the importance of staying calm, evacuating the family to a safe location, and contacting a rescue team rather than attempting to remove the snake on their own. Sharma emphasized that trying to kill the snake is not only risky but also illegal and harmful to the environment. Snakes play a crucial role in maintaining the ecosystem, and safe removal by experts is the best course of action.
