Jeremy Clarkson opened his new pub today - and was faced with long queues.

Dozens of people were waiting outside The Farmer's Dog near Burford in the Cotswolds.

There were also lines of cars on roads near the pub on the A40 with authorities issuing traffic warnings.

The Grand Tour host arrived flanked by 'Clarkson's Farm' stars Gerald Cooper and Charlie Ireland - as well as an Amazon film crew.

A sign outside the pub reads: ''We back British farming"."

Travel alerts were also issued earlier in the day.

@OxonTravel tweeted:

''The Farmer`s Dog @JeremyClarkson's new Pub is opening today at 12PM in #Asthall on the #A40 Near #Burford.Expect delays and high levels of pedestrian activity.''
