Helicopter crashes in India leaving four injures
Footage shows the moment a helicopter crashed during heavy rain in India on Saturday afternoon leaving four people onboard injured.
The AgustaWestland AW139 aircraft departed from Juhu in Mumbai before coming down in Paud, near Hyderabad. Initial reports suggest that there were no fatalities.
Chopper captain Anand suffered injuries during the incident and was transported to Sadar Hospital for medical treatment. Records show that Global Vectra Helicorp was responsible for operating the helicopter.
The crash came during heavy rain and strong wind.
Officials at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued orange alerts for the western Maharashtra districts of Pune and Satara, warning of potential heavy rainfall.
They said a low-pressure system over the east central Arabian Sea off the coast is expected to bring rain to most of Maharashtra over the next 48 hours.
