STORYLINE:

With a design inspired by the 16th century Chinese novel "Journey to the West," the Chinese action role-playing game "Black Myth: Wukong" has taken the gaming world by storm.

After its release on Tuesday morning, the game spread rapidly worldwide, selling over 10 million copies across all platforms by 9 p.m. on Friday.

In Tokyo's Akihabara shopping hub, game fans from different countries shared their feelings towards "Black Myth: Wukong."

SOUNDBITE 1 (Japanese): TAINAKA SHINSUKE, Game lover from Japan
"I've read the story of 'Journey to the West' when I was a child, and I have been very interested since I learned from the advertisement that this game will be launched on the most advanced gaming device, and I was like 'Ah, finally a game.' I like the story of this game. I'd like to visit China if I have the chance."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): ANDREW PERDANA, Game lover from Indonesia
"I'm looking forward to playing it, but I haven't played it. I've heard this game for quite some time. Maybe one or two years ago, I watched the trailer, the quality was very high. It's one of the games that everybody was like 'oh, it looks really good and we cannot wait to play it.' The most attractive part is the combat. That's the first one, and maybe the second one -- I'm looking forward for the story, because I'm familiar with the story of 'Journey to the West.' So how are they gonna implement the story? I'm really curious."

SOUNDBITE 3 (English): ANAS AGNAS, Game lover from The Netherlands
"I wish to play this game, but before I can do it, I will purchase it as soon as possible. My bucket list is China, of course. So I will try to go visit China rapidly."
