Firemen removed the menu board of a street-side restaurant to extract a python hiding inside.

Footage shows the officers unfastening the wooden signage to make space and grab the serpent behind it in Phichit, Thailand, on August 13.

One of them wore gloves and dragged the snake outside. It fell on the floor and tried to slither away, but it was carried and secured in a sack.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
