A bus plunged into a ravine killing 29 passengers in Pakistan on Sunday.

Footage shows the aftermath of the tragic incident near the Pana Bridge in Punjab province.

Officials said the bus was carrying 30 people from Haveli Kahuta to Rawalpindi, leaving only one survivor.

Residents began retrieving the deceased from the wreckage while authorities were en route to the scene.

Law enforcement officials identified some victims, and some bodies were transported to the district headquarters hospital.

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his sorrow over the devastating incident: 'My sympathies are with the families of the deceased during this difficult time.'

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz also sent her deepest condolences to the grieving families.

The accident occurred in a mountainous region, and the exact cause remains under investigation.
