A stunned motorist filmed this bizarre footage where a small plane headed for an exhibition joins traffic and drives along the street alongside other vehicles.

The motorist captured the bizarre sight in Linfen, in Shanxi, China, on August 20.

It shows the small passenger jet, painted in black and yellow, and big enough to fit two people, making its way through traffic on its two wheels.

The plane took up all three lanes and even stopped at red lights like any other car on the road.

The person who filmed the scene said it was their first time seeing something like this.

It later turned out that the plane was heading to an exhibition.

But its creators were reportedly running late and did not have time to disassemble the aircraft for transport and then reassemble it for showing.

Instead, they decided to simply drive it there and had traffic police escorting them to ensure a safe journey.
