Workers hoist up excavator that sank during clearing operation
Workers used a crane to hoist up an excavator that sank on a roadside drain during clearing operation.
The team cleaned up waterways in the province after the typhoon when the heavy machine slipped down the ditch in Batangas province, the Philippines.
Footage shows the workers standing by while colleagues operated the crane to lift it out of the water on August 2.
Local officer Melo Agtay said: ‘We were using the excavator to pull tyres through drains to clear them but it slid down the slope.'
