USA: Van Nuys Truck Crashes Into Hydrant

08/24/2024 09:35 pm (GMT-0800) | VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES – A truck crashed into a water hydrant near Van Nuys Airport on Saturday night, spraying water into the street and stopping traffic.
The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. in the 16600 block of Roscoe Boulevard. Both the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene. Firefighters worked quickly to shut off the water and assess the situation.
It appears the truck went over a guard rail before striking the hydrant. The cause of the crash and how the truck managed to cross the guard rail remain unknown at this time. No one was seen transported from the scene.
