08/25/2024 04:27 am (GMT-0700) | POMONA Calif. – CHP from the Rancho Cucamonga Station received multiple 911 calls of a wrong-way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at Euclid Avenue in the city of Ontario.

CHP continued to receive multiple 911 calls regarding the wrong-way driver traveling in the HOV lane at high speeds.

CHP from the Baldwin Park Station started receiving multiple 911 calls of the wrong-way driver traveling westbound in eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway at Reservoir Street in the city of Pomona.

The 911 callers reported a gray car traveling in the HOV lane at high speeds, going the wrong way. CHP from the Baldwin Park Station received additional 911 calls of the wrong-way driver who crashed into a vehicle on the 60 Freeway eastbound just past the 71 Freeway in the city of Pomona.

CHP units from the Baldwin Park Station were within seconds of arriving at the traffic collision scene.

CHP officers arrived at the scene and located a gray vehicle facing the wrong way on the 60 Freeway with a female driver. The driver of the black Prius was not injured in the crash. The female traveling the wrong way was taken off the freeway by CHP and was given a DUI test. The female driver traveling the wrong way, was arrested for driving under the influence.
