USA: Claremont Bear Breaks Into Home as Homeowner Bakes Cookies

08/24/2024 02:10 am (GMT-0700) | CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont Police Department received a 911 call from a homeowner in the 700 block of Via Monte Video Street, reporting a bear in their kitchen.

The homeowner walked into his kitchen because he was baking cookies and noticed the bear inside the kitchen.

Claremont PD responded to the location and located the bear outside in the backyard. The bear was able to make it inside the residence to a screen door and exit it through a second screen door.

Per the homeowner, he had the kitchen windows open due to him baking cookies. The bear was observed afterwards just hanging out in the backyard of the residence.

The homeowner was not hurt and the bear was not injured during the burglary.
