The National Weather Service had previously issued flash flood warnings for the area, predicting heavy rainfall that could lead to significant flooding. True to the forecast, the region experienced over an inch of rain in a short period, leading to life-threatening flash flooding conditions across Washington County, including St. George, Santa Clara, Ivins, and Snow Canyon State Park.
