The 2024 UCI Junior Track World Championships was held in China's Luoyang on Wednesday. The competition concluded on Sunday.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): SONJA SCHULTZ, Team manager of South Africa
"Hi, everyone. My name is Sonja Schultz. I am the team manager of the South Africa team.
The first impression the organizing committee gives me is professionalism. The Velodrome here is beautiful, with world-class facilities to provide an excellent environment for our riders to train and compete.
The Hanfu performances at the opening ceremony were spectacular. And, during the championships, riders had the opportunity to explore the ancient architecture of Luoyang and experience traditional Chinese culture.
The local residents here are warm, friendly, and passionate about sports.
I love Luoyang. And when I return to South Africa, I would like to recommend Luoyang to more people."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): DUNCAN NICKLE, Australian athlete
"The first time I've been here to China, it's a really beautiful country and I would love to be able to go and explore all the tourist attractions if I get a chance."

SOUNDBITE 3 (English): MIANETTE THERON, South African athlete
"It is my first experience, so it is quite an experience. I'm enjoying everything. People are friendly. I just really enjoy everything."
