This is the moment the world's oldest tattooist, Whang Od, inked a tourist in the Philippines.

Holidaymaker Avril Belisario chose to get her first tattoo from the 107-year-old artist in Tinglayan, Kalinga, on March 22.

Footage shows the tattooist using a calamansi thorn and a mixture of charcoal and water to create three lined dots on the side of the woman's wrist.

Avril said: 'The folks in Buscalan are very kind, friendly, and accommodating. I would love to come back there.'

Apo Whang-Od, also known as Maria Oggay, has been doing geometric tattoo designs representing nature, animals, and other important symbols from Kalinga culture for more than 80 years.

She is the oldest person to ever appear on the cover of Vogue Magazine at 106 years old when she was interviewed two years ago.
