Helicopter rescues walker stranded on rocks for 30 hours during floods
This is the heroic moment a helicopter rescues a walker stranded on large boulders for around 30 hours during floods in India.
Footage shows Kirtanbhai Somabhai Garasiya on a rock in the Mahi River in Vadodara, Gujarat, successfully saved by an Indian Air Force helicopter on Tuesday after enduring heavy rain.
Garasiya was transported to an Air Force facility in Vadodara for a medical evaluation on August 27.
Large parts of Gujarat have been impacted by intense rainfall, leading to unusually heavy downpours from Monday to Tuesday.
The India Meteorological Department has forecasted that extremely heavy rainfall will continue in parts of Gujarat, including the Saurashtra and Kutch regions, over the next few days due to a deep depression.
