The main opposition coalition, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), called its followers to the streets one month after the elections in which, it insists, its candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, obtained the majority of votes. Under the slogan "A record kills a sentence," the platform invited Venezuelans to print the record corresponding to their voting center from a website where it published the "83.5%" of these papers obtained through people who were witnesses and members of the table during the electoral day.
In Caracas, María Corina Machado led the demonstration on Francisco de Miranda Avenue, near the Lido Shopping Center, where thousands of people were waiting for her with signs, flags and a huge banner with the phrase “Act kills a sentence.”
