On August 24, 2024, in Chongqing, Southwest China, a curious incident unfolded involving a little golden hamster named Bengbeng who is 42 days old.

In a box filled with dark brown soil, Bengbeng decided to bury itself completely under the earth. The owner, initially terrified, thought the hamster had suffocated under the compacted soil.

Just as the owner was anxiously digging through the dirt, Bengbeng unexpectedly dug a small tunnel and burrowed out, much to the owner's relief. However, Bengbeng itself looked quite upset seeing its burrow being destroyed.

Netizens were amused by its adorable performance, commenting humorously, “I just haven't answered your message for a while and you're tearing my home apart?”
