Mum and daughter cling to utility pole after their car was swept into raging river in China
8月18日，内蒙古通辽市扎鲁特旗发生一起因降雨导致的私家车被冲入河道事件。一辆行驶中的私家车在强降雨天气下，不幸被积水冲出道路，坠入河道并侧翻，情况危急。
据了解，私家车被冲出约500米距离后，在河道中侧翻。车内一家三口面临生死考验，其中一名男子（可能是父亲）凭借自身努力游至岸边脱险。然而，母女二人仍被困在河道中，情况十分危急。在紧急关头，母女二人展现出惊人的冷静与勇气，她们迅速爬上附近的电线杆，等待救援人员的到来。
通辽市扎鲁特旗消防救援大队接到报警后，立即出动赶赴现场。消防救援人员到达现场后发现，河道水流湍急，宽约10米，水流最深处达50厘米。在河岸两侧群众的协助下，消防救援人员迅速展开救援行动。他们使用绳索等救援装备，依次将母女二人从电线杆上救至岸边，成功将她们从危险中解救出来。经现场检查，母女二人幸无大碍。
