This is the heartwarming moment hundreds of farmyard goats were rescued from floods in northern Thailand.

Farmers saved the animals during severe floods that swamped in Chiang Rai, Thailand, on August 22.

Footage shows men moving the goats using large buckets and evacuating them by boat.

The country has been experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods and landslides across its regions. Residents and their animals have been reported stranded in several provinces, prompting rescue teams to assist with evacuations.

Officials said that 22 people and 19 locals were injured in the flash floods caused by the heavy monsoon rains.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation confirmed that around 30,000 households have been affected in 13 provinces across the north and south over the past 10 days.
