Frightening footage shows the moment a young girl fell into a river in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, and struggled to keep afloat.

CCTV footage from August 25 shows the two other children continuing play as they failed to realise the gravity of the situation.

As the girl in the river began to lose her battle to stay afloat, her friends became more concerned and their crying alerted a passerby.

After trying to spot the young girl who was now beneath the water, the man eventually dived into the river. He managed to bring the unconscious girl back to the river's bank.

According to reports, the little girl gradually gained consciousness and was taken to hospital for treatment and recovery.

据知情者介绍，最终女孩得以脱险。

Surveillance footage shows the girl accidentally losing her footing and falling into the river while playing. She panicked and struggled desperately in the water to save herself. However, due to her young age and lack of swimming skills, she soon became exhausted, putting her in a very dangerous situation. The two children with her were stunned and stood frozen, watching helplessly as their companion struggled in the water. For nearly four minutes, they failed to grasp the seriousness of the situation and did not call for help or take any rescue actions, helplessly watching as the girl sank. Luckily, a passerby noticed something was wrong by the river, quickly ran over, and without hesitation, jumped into the water to successfully rescue the girl.

According to those familiar with the incident, the girl was ultimately saved.

After being rescued , the little girl gradually regained consciousness. Following emergency treatment at the hospital, she is now out of danger and is currently recovering.
