The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) on Saturday finished an exploration and drilling operation in the southern waters of south China's Hainan Province.
The highest single-day drilling depth of 2,138 meters was achieved on August 20. It has set a new record for a single well in China's offshore oil and gas fields.
